Fresh Lemonade
An advantage to living here in sunny California is that we often have access to ridiculously fresh fruit. Not just fruit that comes from a farmer, either. We have a lemon tree in our front yard. One of Michelle’s scrapbooking friends does too – a thirty year old monster which has recently had a bumper crop. So rather than let it rot, she gave Michelle the excess and we decided only fresh lemonade would do.

The recipe is simple. Rather than type it all out, here is a link to the original. Be sure to read the comments, some great variations and tips in there.
It’s been so long since I made fresh lemonade that I had forgotten just how much it can sting – paper cuts, cuticles and so on. Totally worth it though – very yummy. Michelle (naturally) wants to get a juicer, but I kinda like the old fashioned way – it’s something we can do together.
